 Hospice Care
Porter Hospice (established in 1986) provides faith-based, full-service hospice care. Our staff provide pain and symptom management by addressing the physical, spiritual, social and emotional needs of patients facing the end of life. Our focus is on quality of life remaining and for each individual to live with dignity, respect and as much independence as possible. Care can be provided in your home, a nursing home, or a residential hospice facility.
As a nonprofit, needs-driven programs, Porter Hospice relies on charitable giving to cover services not reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance plans. Charitable giving also allows us to provide care to individuals without any of the above coverage, who are unable to pay themselves. Hospice services are developed and provided on the basis of need rather than the ability to pay.
